Responsibilities:
- Administration and management of Nursing Services to residents by orders of the physicians and the total needs of the residents.
- As the DON, you will be responsible for 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and will direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care by current Federal, State, and Company standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- In the absence of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing (DON) assumes the responsibility for center operations.
- The position conducts the nursing process assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the scope of the State s Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.
Requirements:
- Iowa state RN license.
- ASN or BSN.
- Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; at least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience is required.
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of recent, relevant experience.
- Excellent written & verbal communication
